Lima Bici Tours nació de la pasión por el ciclismo y el amor profundo por la ciudad de Lima. Fundada en 2015 por un grupo de guías locales certificados, nos propusimos crear algo diferente: tours en bicicleta que van más allá de la superficie para revelar el corazón auténtico de Lima.
Desde las calles bohemias de Barranco hasta los dramáticos acantilados del Pacífico en Miraflores, desde el centro colonial de siglos de antigüedad hasta los mercados locales vibrantes – te mostramos la Lima que los residentes conocen y aman.
Hoy, estamos orgullosos de estar certificados por Mincetur, operar una flota creciente de bicicletas premium y trabajar con un equipo de guías oficiales que son narradores apasionados, amantes de la comida y entusiastas del ciclismo.

How It Started
Lima Bici was born from a simple conviction: that the best way to experience a city is on a bicycle. Our founder, Carlos Mendoza, grew up cycling the streets of Miraflores and was frustrated watching visitors experience Lima only through taxi windows or on crowded tourist buses. In 2015, he obtained his MINCETUR certification and began leading the city's first dedicated guided cycling tours. Word spread quickly.
A Decade of Growth
From one guide and a handful of bikes in 2015, Lima Bici has grown into Lima's premier cycling tour company. We now have a team of certified multilingual guides, a professionally maintained fleet of bikes, and a dedicated shop in the heart of Miraflores. We have guided cyclists from more than 60 countries and are consistently ranked among the top-rated bicycle tour experiences in Lima across all major platforms.
Our Relationship with Lima
We are not a franchise or a tourism conglomerate. Lima Bici is a locally owned, locally operated company staffed entirely by Limeños who are genuinely passionate about their city. Every food stop on our tours supports a local business. Every route passes through streets our guides grew up in. That authenticity cannot be manufactured — it is the core of what makes Lima Bici special.
Sustainable Tourism
Cycling is inherently a low-impact form of tourism. Lima Bici is committed to keeping it that way. We actively partner with local food vendors, artisans, and cultural organisations to ensure that the economic benefit of tourism flows into the communities our tours pass through. We avoid overtouristed spots wherever possible, preferring authentic local experiences over curated photo opportunities.
Our Commitment to Safety
All Lima Bici guides are trained in first aid and follow a strict pre-tour safety protocol. Every bike is mechanically checked before departure. Helmets are mandatory. Routes are adapted to the group's experience level. We hold full MINCETUR operator certification, which requires adherence to Peru's national tourism safety standards.
The Future
Lima Bici is continuously evolving. We are developing new routes, training new guides, and expanding our rental fleet to meet growing demand. Our commitment remains unchanged: to offer the most authentic, immersive, and professionally guided cycling experience Lima has to offer — one tour at a time.
